🌿 Mindset Matters
Embracing Surrender
The Post Before the Finale
Close your eyes for a moment.
Place one hand on your heart.
Place the other on your stomach.
Breathe in and feel your belly rise.
Breathe out and let your body soften.
Tell your spirit, “You are safe.”
Note: If you do this 3 times, your body should fully relax. In this moment, it is learning to trust you again, because your body remembers every season you lived in survival.
You have done so much work.
You are stepping into the part of your story God wrote with His righteous right hand.
And now you are stepping into the part of growth that feels quiet and unfamiliar, but holy.
This is the place where your transformation stops being something you manage
and starts being something you live and receive.
This is surrender.
🌱 Reflection
Surrender is not giving up.
Surrender is letting God do what only God can do.
It is the moment you stop gripping outcomes with white knuckles.
It is choosing to loosen the hold on what you were never meant to control.
Real surrender says:
“I have planted. I have watered. I have tended. Now it is time to allow God to bring the increase, when He is ready.”
You are not abandoning your growth.
You are letting it breathe.
You are allowing the soil of your life to settle, strengthen, and deepen.
You are releasing the pressure to constantly monitor your progress.
You are letting go of the urge to overthink, overwork, oversee, or overexplain.
Surrender is not weakness.
Surrender is confidence in God.
It is the quiet agreement that says:
“God, I trust You. I trust what You are growing in me. I trust that I do not have to carry what You have already promised to sustain.”
🌾 What Does Surrender Look Like in Real Life
Surrender looks like this.
You pray about something.
You give it to God.
Later that day, your mind tries to rehearse the outcome.
Instead of spiraling, you gently say to your mind,
“I gave this to God. I choose peace.”
Then you shift your focus back to the present moment.
That is surrender.
Not perfection.
Not silence.
Not pretending.
Just redirecting your agreement.
Just choosing peace instead of pressure.
Sometimes choosing peace is the simplest thing we never learned how to do.
We were taught that life is supposed to be hard and loud and overwhelming.
We were trained to expect the storm.
So peace feels foreign.
But peace is not complicated.
Peace is creation.
The same way God hovered over the chaotic waters
and simply spoke,
“Let there be…”
Order appeared.
Light appeared.
Life appeared.
Sometimes peace is just that simple.
A spoken shift.
A holy pause.
Making a decision to say,
“Let there be peace in me.”
That moment is surrender.
That moment is creation.
That moment is spiritual authority.
📖 Scripture
“Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.”
Psalm 37:5 NKJV
Surrender is confidence in the character of God.
Not fear.
Not pressure.
Not performance.
Just trust.
🌾 Today’s Invitation
1. Identify What You Are Still Holding Too Tightly
Ask yourself:
Where am I trying to control an outcome that belongs to God
Write it down.
Bring it into the light.
Examples:
🪴 “I am trying to control how fast I heal.”
🪴 “I am trying to control how others respond to my growth.”
🪴 “I keep picking up the very thing I placed in God’s hands.”
2. Release It with Intention
Whisper this prayer slowly:
“Lord, I place this back in Your hands. Lead me. Hold me. Make my heart steady.”
Let your muscles soften.
Let your breath slow.
Let the release be real.
3. Agree with God Instead of Anxiety
Use positively anchored statements.
These must be positive only, because your mind follows your language.
Examples:
🌱 “Peace is rising in me.”
🌱 “My heart is steady because God is guiding me.”
🌱 “I trust what God is doing in my life.”
🌱 “I am safe and supported.”
🌱 “God’s timing is unfolding beautifully for me.”
🌱 “Peace is the evidence that God is here.”

🌟 Extending the Practice of Mindset Matters
Inside our coaching space, surrender becomes a rhythm.
We learn how to soften the fight inside.
We learn how to stop rehearsing outcomes that God Himself is writing.
We learn how to quiet the noise and lean into peace.
We learn how to let God lead without interruption.
Surrender is not the end of your growth.
It is the doorway to clarity, peace, and divine alignment.
🙏 Closing Prayer
You are stepping into the part of your story God wrote with His righteous right hand.
Lord, I release what was never mine to carry.
I surrender every part of me that has been trying to hold it all together.
Strengthen my trust. Steady my heart.
Help me stay open to Your leading and Your timing.
I know You have brought me too far to leave me here.
Amen.
🌿 You planted.
🌿 You watered.
🌿 Now let God be God.
✨ Keep moving forward.
With grace and grit 💜
