✨ Preparing the Ground
A Week of Soul Prep Before the Renewing of Your Mind
This week on The Boss Up Chronicles we’re slowing down on purpose. Before we go deeper into the renewing of our minds, we’re going to prepare the ground together. Think of this as tilling the soil before planting — when the soil is open and soft, the seed can take root and grow.
Each day you’ll find a short reflection, one scripture, one simple action or journal prompt, and a prayer or affirmation. Nothing complicated. Just a few unbothered minutes to make room for God’s presence and your own clarity.
This is about creating space, aligning your heart, and inviting God to meet you in the middle of your everyday life. You don’t need to feel ready; you just need to show up.
Moms, you might even need to borrow your “fake bathroom breaks” to do this… lol. But it will be worth it.
Here’s how the week will flow:
Short Reflection — why today’s focus matters
One Scripture — your anchor verse
One Action or Journal Prompt — simple but meaningful
A Closing Prayer or Affirmation — to seal your moment with God
If you’d like a place to keep your notes, prayers, and reflections during this journey, my Boss Up Planner is designed for exactly this kind of soul prep. You don’t need it to participate — but if you love a beautiful, structured space for your thoughts, it’s a helpful companion.
Let’s begin.
🌱 Day 1 – Clearing Space
Reflection:
Life constantly adds noise — notifications, opinions, pressures, comparisons. Before renewal comes, we must clear mental and spiritual space. This is not about perfection; it’s about permission. Give yourself permission to set some things down so God can pick them up.
Scripture:
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” — Romans 12:2 NKJV
Today’s Invitation:
Take a few quiet minutes to write down three “mental noise” items you’d like to hand over to Jesus this week. These could be worries, habits, or conversations that replay in your head. As you list them, picture yourself placing them into His hands.
Closing Prayer/Affirmation:
Lord, today I choose to clear space in my heart and mind. I release the noise and open myself to Your peace and Your presence.
Meet me back here tomorrow for Day 2 as we align our intentions and prepare our hearts for what’s next.
With grace and grit,
